Early Childhood (3-6 years old)
In the Montessori Early Childhood Course, the pedagogical and philosophical foundations of the Montessori method are studied within the context of children between the ages of three and six. Some of the topics explored in depth are the characteristics of these children, their needs at this stage of development and the tools that allow teachers to assist in children's learning and growth process.
Elementary I (6-9 years old)
The Elementary l course examines the developmental period of the child between the ages of six and nine, traditionally referred to as K-3 elementary school years. Montessori philosophy and methodology are studied within the context of the children's age, developmental needs and materials that allow them to explore the learning windows that open during these three years of the child. The curriculum studied is based on the child's cosmic education and cultural studies that allows the child to understand their role in the universe.
Elementary II (9-12 years old)
The Elementary II course examines the developmental period of the child between the ages of nine and 12. Once the teacher completes the curriculum requirements of Elementary I, they begin the study of the curriculum, materials and scope of what we traditionally know as elementary school for fourth to sixth grade (Elementary II). The curriculum studied for these stages of development is a continuation of the cosmic education of the child, with further depth on the different topics and the search for their cosmic role.
Secundary (12-15 years old)
This course proposes the implementation of Maria Montessori's ideas about the "Erdkinder" or children of the Earth. These
"Earth Schools" are described as "places where children can live close to nature, eat natural products and carry out practical work related to subsistence economies." The intellectual work is carried out in the interests of the adolescents. The fundamental basis of the course is Montessori philosophy within the experiences necessary for the creation of strong communities. The course participants form a strong community that allows them to share projects and activities within the framework of the stages studied.
